Land-Based Ceramics

I was born and raised in the Rocky Mountain West to a family of former sheep ranchers and artists. I started engaging with clay as a medium in 2018, and it’s been a balm as complications of chronic Lyme disease have limited my ability to walk and to get outside. I create forms inspired by the natural world, and I make every effort to ensure the clay stays aesthetically soft, even as it’s fired into solid, functional wares. When I’m not working with clay, I might be plant-dyeing silks, weaving on a loom my partner built, welding bookshelves, or sewing on the old family Singer. In every artistic area, my aim is to make vessels that help hold the weight of the world with gentleness.

I’m currently available for limited pottery special orders. Reach out if you have a project in mind.
